Some local drivers have feared that a bridge collapse like the one in Washington State this week could happen closer to home. People have been particularly fearful of the aging Black River Bridge that connects Black Rock and Portia on U.S. 63 in Lawrence County.

AR (KAIT) – Students at a local high school learned some valuable skills
Wednesday.
A
"Mock Interview" was held for Valley View High School students. Community
professionals questioned each of the students to give them an idea of what it
is like in the real world.
Each
student had a fifteen to twenty minute interview, and was exposed to some
feedback.
Robyn
Ford is a counselor for Valley View High School and he thinks that the event
was an accurate program.
"The
panel lets them know what they did well and then also gives them pointers about
what they can do better next time or in a real situation", Ford says.
This
is the second year for Valley View to hold this for students.
