AR (KAIT) – Kids learn all about the contributions of black Americans during
Black History Month.
Students
gathered on Wednesday to release balloons as a way to kick of the month.
Para-professional,
Kathy Banks says students are doing special projects every day this month.
"They're
excited about learning about different African American achievers who have
paved the way for others. Each week we emphasize a different theme", Banks
says.
Almost
200 students released balloons that were supplied by the Junior Auxiliary. The
Jonesboro High School Step Team visited the children to introduce them to
dance.
