John Edwards to Make Region 8 Campaign Appearance Next Week

JULY 28, 2004 - Posted at 5:09 p.m. CDT

BOSTON, MA - The leader of the Arkansas Democratic Party says Senator John Edwards is planning to visit Arkansas next week.

Edwards, who is to accept the Democratic vice presidential nomination tonight, is to be in Arkansas on August 3 and 4.

Democratic Party chairman Ron Oliver says plans are still being developed, but that Edwards would make at least two campaign stops, including one in West Memphis.  The other is expected to be in Pulaski County.  Oliver is in Boston this week at the Democratic National Convention.

No other details on the Edwards visit are available at this time.  Meanwhile, the coordinator for the Kerry-Edwards campaign says Senator John Kerry will visit the state again, but no dates have been scheduled yet.
