JONESBORO, AR (KAIT)- The 8th annual Soul Food Day was Thursday at the ASU armory.
A variety of "soul food" dishes were prepared for the public to come out and enjoy. This event is an opportunity to gather together socially and enlighten other nationalities about the African American culture.
J. W. Mason, a volunteer for the event says, "It gives us an opportunity to share our recipes that go all the way back to our great grandmothers and mothers."
Soul Food Day ends at 8:30 Thursday night.
