  • Kennett police settle in to temporary station

The Kennett Police Department has moved everything out of their offices due to a health risk from mold.  They are now settling in to the Kennett City Hall.  Veronica Smith talked to city officials about the big transition and what it means for residents' safety on Region 8 News at 6 and 10.

  • Catfish low, but prices high for local restaurant

Catfish is a southern delicacy at many local family restaurants. But with the number of Arkansas-raised catfish dropping in the last few years, paying the higher cost can be a challenge. Meteorologist Bryan McCormick traveled to one Greene County restaurant to see how they're dealing with the issue.  See his story tonight on Region 8 News at 5 and 6.

  • Jackson Co. early voting underway for sales tax

Early voting began Tuesday on two sales tax increases in Jackson County, and poll workers say they have already seen a "strong" turnout.  Will DuPree will talk to voters about the proposal and share their opinions on the issue that officials say would prevent the Jackson County Detention Center from closing, tonight on Region 8 News at 6 and 10.

Cloudy skies could make things a little cooler heading for the weekend.  And there may even be some rain before Monday arrives. Chief Meteorologist Ryan Vaughan is tracking the latest weather conditions on Storm Track Doppler 8 and will share his exclusive 7-day forecast on Region 8 News at 5, 6, and 10.
