POCAHONTAS, AR (KAIT/AP) – Four officers involved in a fatal shooting that killed an assault suspect were justified in their actions according to Prosecutor Henry Boyce.
The shooting on Feb. 7 killed 27-year-old Jonathan Tims.
According to Lt. Brant D. Tosh, ASP's Criminal Investigation Division received a request from the Pocahontas Police Department to investigate after the shooting.
According to Tosh, Pocahontas police were looking for Tims in connection with his involvement in a domestic assault involving a handgun. Officers were investigating a report of Tims threatening his girlfriend with the gun, according to ASP.
