ASU Rugby getting cranked up

JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - The Arkansas State Rugby team is getting cranked up for the spring season and continued their preparations for a big match today.

Last weekend the Red Wolves traveled to Texas A&M where they came away with a big 70-7 win in the season opener.

On Saturday the team opened it's home slate by playing each other. They were originally scheduled to play Arkansas but the Razorbacks canceled with Arkansas State approval early this week so Saturday's match became a Red vs. Black game.

Red won the match 59-7. Arkansas State will play one of its toughest matches of the season when they travel to Life University next Saturday.

Life University is currently ranked number 1 in the nation. Arkansas State is ranked number 2.
