Childers leads WBC Lady Eagles to road victory

The Lady Eagles, from Williams Baptist College, collected their second straight road victory on Saturday, Feb. 9.  The first win came against Stephens College in Columbia, Mo., on Thursday, Feb. 7 and they followed up that win with the Saturday victory at Park University in Parkville, Mo.  The final score of the Park game was 61-56.

Cheyenne Childers scored 25 points in the game on 8-of-14 shooting.  She also recorded four rebounds, two steals, one block and one assist.  Kimberly Wise also reached double-figures with 13 points.

Williams shot 41 percent from the floor, while holding the Pirates to 29 percent.   WBC also out rebounded Park at42-to-32.

The win moved the Lady Eagles to a fourth place tie in the American Midwest Conference with a record of 7-6 in conference and 14-11 overall.   Williams will host third place William Woods University on Tuesday, Feb. 12 at 5:30 p.m.  The game will be played in Southerland-Mabee Center in Walnut Ridge, Ark.
