FORREST CITY, AR (KAIT) – A Forrest City woman is in jail after police say she stabbed her boyfriend.

FCPD were called out to the Forrest City Medical Center. There they found 22-year-old Malcolm Murry being treated with a stab wound. Murry had to be transported to the Med in Memphis in serious condition for internal injuries.

After investigating, police believe the stabbing was the result of a domestic dispute between Malcolm, and his girlfriend, Nashae Williams.

Police arrested Williams for first degree battery.

Chief E.P. Reynolds says, "Domestic Violence is a serious problem which cannot be ignored and tends to escalate in violence with time. I am pleased that the perpetrator is in custody and the weapon was recovered."
