HUNTINGTON, TX (KTRE) -

A Houston man is charged with a misdemeanor crime following a Huntington Police investigation into allegations that he forced an eight-year-old girl to watch pornographic movies with him.

Raymond Alvin Pace, 51, is charged with misdemeanor A displaying harmful material to a minor.

According to Huntington Police Chief Bobby Epperly Jr., police began investigating the case after the girl told a family member in December that Pace had made her watch pornographic movies with him several times.

Epperly said Pace denied the allegations and even offered to take a polygraph exam. Epperly said police set up the exam and Pace failed it.

"He told me that if we were going to charge him, he'd turn himself in," Epperly said. "He's been real cooperative the whole time."

Pace turned himself into the Angelina County Jail on Thursday, where he remains as of 9:30 a.m. Friday on a $1,500 bail.
