ASU Women's Soccer signs California standout Indra Garcia

Arkansas State head women's soccer coach Tafadzwa Ziyenge announced Tuesday that Gilroy, Ca., native Indra Garcia has signed a National Letter of Intent play for the Red Wolves next season.

Garcia spent the previous two seasons at Evergreen Valley College in San Jose, Calif., where she became the first women's soccer player in the school's to earn NSCAA first-team All-America status in 2012. She finished the year with 17 goals and added 16 assists to lead her team to a Coast Conference championship and a No. 5 ranking in the Northern California Region.

Garcia was also named the Coast Conference Player of the Year, was a first-team all-conference selection and first-team All-West selection.

In high school, Garcia was a four time all-conference selection and helped her team advance to California Coast playoffs in each season that she played. She helped her club team, the Orchard Valley Sting, advance to the 2011 state championship and to the finals of the 2011 Nomads tournament.
