Monday could have been it for both Albany State teams as the first round of the SIAC Tournament came to a close. Both teams entered with hot and cold seasons and played Miles in the first round.
As fate would have it, both teams got the job done and will live to play another day. Jaren Harris had a monster game as the men edged Miles 67-63.
The Lady Rams were little more dominant beating Miles 73-51. Mitchell County's Kedeemya Cooper finished with 12 points and 17 rebounds.
The ASU men play Benedict Wednesday at 7:45pm, the women will play Benedict at 1:00pm Wednesday at Morehouse.
