Student arrested after police say he brought marijuana, loaded gun to school

BLYTHEVILLE, AR (KAIT) – A Blytheville student was arrested after police find marijuana and a gun during two searches.

According to a press release from Captain Scott Adams with the Blytheville Police Department, officers were contacted by schools officials on February 27, after school staff smelled marijuana coming from the locker of a 16 year old student.

  • Possession of controlled substance
  • Resisting arrest
  • Fleeing
  • Tampering with evidence

The student was turned over to the juvenile services and taken to the Mississippi County Detention Center.
