SEC PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Devon Wallace – Arkansas
UTL • So. • Double Oak, Texas
Wallace went 7-11 (.636) in five games over the weekend leading Arkansas to the Woo Pig Classic title. She had three HRs, three doubles and seven RBIs despite being walked eight times. Wallace also had six runs and hit the go-ahead homerun in the top of the seventh inning on Sunday to give the Razorbacks a 3-2 win over Jacksonville State. With eight walks this weekend, Wallace improved her walk total to an SEC-leading 27. On defense, Wallace played leftfield and first base and did not commit an error all weekend.
SEC PITCHER OF THE WEEK
Alison Owen – Mississippi State
R-Jr. • Newnan, Ga.
Owen had a no-hitter, three complete-game victories and a save for Mississippi State in an undefeated week for the Bulldogs at the Diamond 9 Citrus Classic. She gave up no earned runs and struck out 10 batters in a complete-game win vs. Syracuse and pitched her first career no-hitter in school history Saturday vs. Fordham. Owen had 23 Ks over the weekend, issued just two walks and registered a 0.38 earned run average while holding opponents to a .097 batting average.
SEC FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK
Haley Culley – Ole Miss
SS • Mesa, Ariz.
Culley hit .526 (10-19) in Ole Miss' seven games last week, recording the second highest hit total on the team and the highest among freshmen. Batting at the bottom of the order, Culley had a hit in every contest and a pair of multiple-hit games. She helped key the Rebels in winning six of their seven games and 12 of their last 13 overall. Culley recorded 11 putouts and 12 assists over the week while committing just one error.
