An early morning dispute landed one man behind bars and another fighting for his life.

Markeith Taylor, 28, is accused of shooting another man twice, after police say they got into an argument.

The shooting happened at Pine Tree Mobile Park on Farr Road around 2 a.m. on Wednesday.  The victim, a 34 year-old man, was shot once in the head and once in the left hip.

Columbus police report the man drove himself to the Medical Center where he was listed in critical condition. As of Thursday morning, his status has been upgraded to unsatisfactory.

Neighbors at the mobile home park declined to speak about the incident.

Taylor is being charged with aggravated assault, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. He scheduled for a preliminary hearing Friday morning.
