JPD: Equipment used to build new hospital stolen

JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) – In a span of about five months, the equipment workers use to build the new hospital were robbed.

Jonesboro Police were called out to the construction site at the Northeast Arkansas Hospital on Johnson in reference to a theft.

When police arrived they were told that from November 30, 2012 to Monday, someone stole 300 metal counter weights, weighing 60 pounds each.

One of the employees told JPD the weights were located on three pallets on the east side of the site. That is where all the companies working on the hospital store their equipment.

The weights are 16 inches long, 8 inches wide and 1.5 inches thick.

JPD says that at the time their police report was filled  out they had no suspects.
