Paragould business robbed just before opening

PARAGOULD, AR (KAIT) – Paragould police are investigating a robbery at a service station just before opening up.

According to police, an employee at Speed Lube on N. 23rd Street was just about to open on March 4 when the robbery occurred.  As the employee was putting cash into the register, the employee told police a male voice said not to turn around or he would shoot.

He then said to hand over the money. The employee did and the robber made off with an undisclosed amount of cash, according to police.

After robbing the employee the suspect fled outside the back of the store. The employee was unable to give police a description of the suspect or if he had fled on foot or in a vehicle.

If you have any information about this case you are asked to call the Paragould Police Department Criminal Division at 870-239-7556.
