Arkansas State begins spring practice Monday

JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - The Arkansas State football team will hold their first spring practice of the season on Monday afternoon.

The practice will open the on the field era for new Head Coach Bryan Harsin and also bring with it many question marks. The big elephant in the room is of course finding the replacement for graduated quarterback Ryan Aplin.

Also the table and of interest this spring will be how the offense of Harsin will look and how it will compare to what Gus Malzahn ran last season. Runningbacks Coach Eliah Drinkwitz has already said that the offense will be faster than that run by Malzahn but how things will line up remain clear.

The practice will begin at 3:45 with a brief opening for the media but is otherwise closed to the public.

The majority of the practices this spring will be closed to the public and the media with two dates being open to both. Fans can watch practice on April 5 at 6:45 p.m. The spring game is of course open to the public and will be held on April 13 at 1:00 p.m.
