Young professionals learn about starting & expanding businesses

JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) – Young professionals got to meet people who have kicked off successful businesses in their lifetime.

The Jonesboro Chamber of Commerce was filled with some of the youngest and brightest on Wednesday.

Throughout the afternoon the Jonesboro Young Professionals Conference listened to local speakers who have started and expanded their own businesses.

T.J. Thompson is the Leadership Conference Chair and he thought today changed the thoughts of some young professionals.

"It provides a great place to come and develop leadership skills that can be taken into our workplaces and into our communities. It's also a great way to network, that's a major function of JYTN as well", says Thompson.

The event was also emceed with Region 8's own Craig Rickert.
