Suspect captured after road spikes, wreck in police chase

 

LAKE CITY, AR (KAIT)-  Lake City Police confirm to Region 8 News that a police chase happened just north of Lake City around 3 p.m.
     
Sgt. Phillip VanWinkle says his department received a call about someone being assaulted inside a vehicle Sunday afternoon. When deputies arrived to investigate, the suspect fled in his car travelling down several county roads in the area eventually fleeing on Hwy 135.
     
Deputies then used spike strips to stop the car but the suspect continued down 135, turned on Hwy 18, then wrecked in someone's backyard.     

The suspect, Gage Glenn, then ran away but deputies quickly caught him and arrested him.
