DEXTER, MO (KFVS) -

A Dexter school bus was involved in a crash on Highway H on Thursday morning.

According to Dexter School District Superintendent Thomas Sharpe, the wreck involved the bus and another vehicle.

Sharpe says there were no noticeable injuries to the 16 students aboard the bus or bus driver.

The driver of the other vehicle involved had minor injuries and sought medical attention.

According to the superintendent, all 16 students were taken to school on another bus. School nurses were available to examine the students there as a precaution.

Parents were notified by the school and were told they could talk to their child or school nurse. They also had the option to excuse their child for the day.

The driver of the school bus underwent mandatory drug and alcohol testing and won't return to duty until the results are received, and no violation detected, according to Sharpe.
