JONESBORO (KAIT and ArenaFootball.com) - You can find former Red Wolves in all levels of professional football, and Arena Football is no different. Three ASU alums will play indoors in 2013.
Former wide receiver Brandon Thompkins will play for the Utah Blaze. He signed with Utah in the offseason after shining for two seasons with the Spokane Shock. He started 12 games for Spokane in 2012 and finished second on the team with 76 receptions for 907 yards and 26 touchdowns. As a rookie in 2011, Thompkins caught 17 passes for 200 yards and three touchdowns.
Thompkins will have a fellow ASU alum as a Utah teammate. Marcus Brown signed with the Blaze in January. He entered the NFL in 2010, signing with the Seattle Seahawks as an undrafted free agent. He spent the majority of his rookie season on the practice squad, but was elevated to the active roster for Seattle's season-finale against the St. Louis Rams.
Brown participated in training camp with the Seahawks in 2011, but was waived during final cuts. He joined the Miami Dolphins as a member of the practice squad late in the year and attended training camp with the team the following season.
Like Brown, Sifa Etu will make his Arena Football debut this season. He signed with the Arizona Rattlers in November as a fullback and offensive lineman. He was a 2nd team All-Sun Belt selection in 2010.
