Bono home destroyed in early morning fire

BONO, AR (KAIT) – A Bono family escapes a Friday morning fire that destroyed their home.

According to Jonesboro dispatch, the fire happened at 68 County Road 117, close to Highway 91 not far from Westside Schools. E-911 Director Jeff Presley says the fire was called in early Friday morning just before two by a neighbor.

The family in the home was able to get out and run to a neighbor's home. No injuries were reported.

When firefighters arrived at the scene, the fire was fully involved. The home is a total loss according to the Bono Fire Department.

The cause of the blaze has not been determined. The Arkansas Red Cross has been called in to help the family.
