All-State women's soccer player signs with Williams Baptist

From Williams Baptist College

Head Coach Shane Stolz and the Williams Baptist College Lady Eagles soccer squad have signed Jeri Marlo Stacy from Greenbrier High School.  Stacy signed in front of a room packed with teammates, friends, coaches and family at her high school.

"Marlo is a big get for us.  She was one of the first girls that I targeted after the announcement of our women's team," said Stolz.

Williams announced in December the addition of a Lady Eagles soccer team to its intercollegiate sports catalog.

Stacy has been voted All-Conference and All-State throughout her high school career.  She has scored a total of 55 goals in her three plus years at Greenbrier.  She has also added 38 assists to go along with her goal scoring numbers.

"Her stats speak for themselves and I have full confidence she will come in and be a leader on and off the field for us," added Stolz.

The goal scoring midfielder will graduate in May.  She is the daughter of Sandra Newton of Greenbrier and Billy Stacy of Ravenden, Ark.

Williams is a four-year, liberal arts college at Walnut Ridge. The Eagles compete in the American Midwest Conference of the NAIA.
