JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) – Police have arrested a suspect after a reported aggravated robbery on Wednesday night.

According to Jonesboro police, Marcus Huff is accused of robbing the Quick Trip convenience store on the intersection of Flint and Nettleton.

Officers say Huff matched the description of the suspect given by witnesses at the store. Another officer says Huff was trying to stop a vehicle on Heern Street. He then ran from the officer until he was eventually taken into custody.

During the investigation, officers retrieved a black Phantom BB hand gun in the yard of a home on Mallory Court. Police say Huff told them he tossed the gun after running from the store. Officers found no BBs or CO2 tank in the gun.

No one was hurt during the robbery. Officers found an undisclosed amount of cash that Huff had dropped.

Huff is charged with aggravated robbery, probation violation and theft.
