JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) – A Blytheville officer was arrested at a local club by a Jonesboro officer on Thursday night.

According to the Jonesboro Police Department, Jason Eddings was arrested at the Electric Cowboy and charged with disorderly conduct and public intoxication. At the time of his arrest, officers say they found a 2nd Judicial Drug Task Force badge, police and DTF identification belonging to Eddings.

An officer working security at the club talked with Eddings before he went into the club and noted that he was "very intoxicated".

Later in the evening a business manager escorted Eddings out of the club so he could "sober up".

Officers say Eddings was using profanities directed at officers and was uncooperative.

Fearing the situation would only get worse, an officer arrested Eddings and he was taken to the Craighead County Jail.

He was released and given a court date of April 1.
