Former police officer accused of cyberbullying kid will not be prosecuted

OSCEOLA, AR -

(WMC-TV) - Prosecutors will not prosecute a former Osceola police officer accused of cyberbullying her daughter's classmate.

Jennifer Ephlin was suspended from her job with the Osceola Police Department for 10 days in August.  She later left the department.

Ephlin was accused of sending harassing messages to her 10-year-old daughter's classmate.

The prosecuting attorney in the case tells Action News 5 he declined to prosecute the case because the statute of limitations had run out.

Ephlin was never formally charged.
