The Southeast Missouri State University baseball team beat UT Martin 9-6 to win its second game of the three game series Friday night.
Andy Lennington was 3-for-5 in the game with a RBI double in the bottom of the eighth inning. With the bases loaded and the score 8-6 in favor of the Redhawks, Lennington hit a double into left field. One run scored giving the Redhawks a three run cushion going into the ninth, where Bobby Hurst closed out the game.
Nolan Fisher hit his first career home run, part of a six run fourth inning.
UT Martin's Brent Morris was 2-for-4 with two runs scored.
Will Spitzfaden was credited with the win going five innings with four strikeouts allowing six runs.
Southeast is now 14-14 and 6-5 in OVC play. The Redhawks will go for the sweep at noon tomorrow at Capaha Field.
