Funeral arrangements set for one of two Dunklin Co. teens killed in crash

SENATH, MO (KFVS) -

Funeral arrangements are set for one of two teens killed in traffic crash Friday in Senath.

Dylan Johnson, 16, of Holcomb will be laid to rest Monday, April 1.  Visitation will be held from noon to 2 p.m. at McDaniel Funeral Home in Kennett. The funeral will follow in the chapel at 2 p.m. Interment will take place at Pine City Cemetery in Holcomb.

Funeral arrangements for 18-year-old Tyler Troutt of Kennett are pending at McDaniel Funeral home.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol,  Johnson was behind the wheel of a 2004 Nissan Xterra around 9:20 p.m.  Troopers say Johnson failed to yield at a stop sign at the intersection of U.S. 412 and Route P in Senath.

The Nissan pulled out into the path of a 2012 Freightliner semi-tractor trailer driven by Lee Davis of Dyersburg, Tennessee.

Investigators say Johnson was ejected from the Nissan upon impact. Johnson and a passenger Tyler Troutt of Kennett were pronounced dead at the scene.

A third occupant of the Nissan, 18-year-old Tyler Estes of Kennett sustained serious injuries in the crash. He was airlifted to a hospital in Jonesboro, Arkansas for treatment. There are no updates available on the teen's condition.

Troopers say none of the teens were wearing seat belts.

The driver of the semi-truck was not injured.
