POPLAR BLUFF, MO (KAIT)- The Butler County Sheriff's Office responded to a stabbing early Saturday morning putting one man in the hospital and one behind bars.
According to Sheriff Mark Dobbs the stabbing happened at the Bootheel Saloon in Poplar Bluff.
They say a verbal argument led to the victim being stabbed twice in the upper torso.
23-year-old Richard Ray Arnold Jr. was then arrested.
He is being held at the Butler County Jail with a $250,000 dollar bond.
The victim is stable condition expected to recover.
