"Lights On, Crime Off" in Kennett

KENNETT, MO (KAIT) – The Kennett Police Department wants you to turn your lights on to keep crime away from the city.

The new "Lights on, Crime Off" campaign is a partnership between City Light, Gas and Water and the police department.

The Kennett Police Department says if you "turn your lights on, criminals will be deterred." They say that would make the city safer and protect property.

But, they do need your help. They're asking citizens to help locate street lights that aren't working properly.

To report an outage, you can contact City, Light, Gas and Water at (573) 888-5366 or on the CLGW web site at www.clgw.net.
