BAXTER COUNTY, AR (KAIT) – A call over a woman heard screaming in the woods leads to a meth arrest.

The Baxter County Sheriff's office says deputies were notified by Mountain Home Police that they needed assistance at an area on Highway 62, where they were responding to a call of a woman screaming.

Police say her speech was slurred and she was "unsteady on her feet."

Police arrested Melissa Sanders, 24. While searching her, they found several small packages of a white powdered substance, believed to be methamphetamine. They also found 5 syringes in a bag Sanders had.

Sanders faces possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, and public intoxication charges.

She posted a $10,000 bond and was released. She'll appear in court on April 25th.
