22-year-old man charged with shooting 16-year-old

NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

A teenager is in the hospital after police said his friend shot him in west Nashville on Sunday night.

The incident happened at a home on Maudina Avenue around 10:30 p.m.

Police said the 16-year-old and two friends had been fighting all day, but the argument turned violent and shots were fired.

Ryan Stevenson, 22, is charged with aggravated assault in the shooting.

Police said the 16-year-old is expected to survive his injuries.
