Nicasio was honored as the Sun Belt Conference Men's Indoor Track Field Athlete of the Week (Jan. 23) following a personal career-best 64-00.5 (19.52m) toss in the weight throw at the Eastern Illinois John Craft Invitational (Jan. 19).
With Nicasio's selection, Arkansas State has now been recognized twice this outdoor campaign with weekly conference honors. Junior Kristina Aubert was named the SBC Women's Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week earlier this season (March 27).
Nicasio and his fellow ASU throwers will be competing in the 47th annual Sea Ray Relays this weekend (April 11-13) in Knoxville, Tenn. The meet, which is being hosted by the University of Tennessee, will be held at UT's Tom Black Track at LaPorte Stadium.
