Forrest City PD: Drug Search Warrant executed, two arrested

FORREST CITY, AR (KAIT) – Several law enforcement agencies came together to execute a drug search warrant Friday morning.

The Forrest City Police Department, SWAT Team, Criminal Investigation Division and the Street Crimes Unit executed the warrant at Grobmeyer Circle in Forrest City.

During the search, officials were able to seize prepackaged marijuana, drug paraphernalia, and over $500 in cash.

26-year-old, Latavious Randolph of Forrest City and 50-year-old Beverly Foster of Memphis were arrested after the search.

Randolph is currently in custody and faces charges for Possession of Marijuana with purpose to deliver, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and seven counts of endangering the welfare of a minor.

Foster faces charges for possessing a crack pipe. In a News Release to Region 8 News, Forrest City Police Chief, Edward Reynolds said, "I would like to express my appreciation to the Criminal Investigation Division and SWAT team. The Forrest City Police Department Street Crime Unit will be continuing their efforts to get these drugs and drug dealers of our streets, and make Forrest City the best city in the Delta."

Reynolds also encourages anyone with information about illegal drug activity is asked to contact the Forrest City Police Department at (870) 633-3434. They can also contact the Forrest City Crime Stoppers at (870) 261-1499.

All calls to CrimeStoppers are left anonymous. The police department is also offering a reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of criminals.
