The Arkansas State volleyball team and head coach David Rehr are set to host its annual Red Wolves Volleyball Camps this summer. The summer schedule includes a Lil' Wolves camp, individual skills camp, and team camp.
The Lil' Wolves camp is set for July 8-10 at the ASU HPESS building for students in grades 4-6, while the individual camp will be held July 18-20 at the ASU Convocation Center for students in grades 7-12. The team camp is scheduled for July 25-27 at the ASU Convocation center and is for JV or Varsity teams with a minimum of eight players.
The cost for the Lil' Wolves camp is $80 and campers will receive instruction and training in all phases of volleyball from the A-State coaching staff and current volleyball players. Each camper will also receive a camp T-shirt. The camp will run from 5:30-8:30 p.m. each day and be held on the second floor of ASU's HPESS building.
The cost for the individual camp is $325 for campers that will stay on campus for all three days and $280 for campers that will commute back and forth each day. For residential campers the price includes two breakfasts, two lunches, two dinners, two night stay in a residence hall, camp volleyball, and a camp T-shirt. The price for commuter campers includes two lunches, two dinners, and a camp T-shirt.
The individual skills camp is designed to offer campers a solid skill foundation in all areas of the game. Fundamental instruction will be provided for passing, setting, serving, hitting, and blocking. The camp will also include team and game situations and will cater to all skill levels while placing each camper in a group based on their level of skill.
The cost for the team camp is $200 per athlete for teams that will be staying on campus. The price includes two breakfasts, two lunches, two dinners, two night stay in a residence hall, and a camp T-shirt. The cost is $100 per athlete for teams that will commute to campus each day. Each member of the team will receive a camp T-shirt.
The team camp will include instruction from the ASU coaching staff and one-on-one time and instruction from current ASU volleyball players. It will include team building activities, on-court activities, and competition between other teams there.
