PARAGOULD, AR (KAIT) - A Paragould man is behind bars on multiple charges of distributing, possessing or viewing child pornography.

According to a news release from the Arkansas Attorney General's Office, Clint Everitt Fields of Paragould was arrested Tuesday morning. He is facing 20 counts of having and distributing material "depicting sexually explicit conduct involving a child".

Agents with the Cyber Crimes Unit carried out a search warrant at Fields' apartment at 1005 South 22nd Street. As a result, a laptop was seized and sent to the Cyber Crime Unit's Forensic Lab in Little Rock for analysis.

The Paragould Police Department also aided in the investigation and arrest.

According to the Attorney General's Office, Special Agent Chris Cone began the investigation last month after suspecting Fields of having child porn at his apartment.

Fields' bond was set at $150,000 and he is in the Greene County Jail at this time.

The Attorney General's Office plans to turn the case over to Second Judicial District Prosecuting Attorney Scott Ellington upon completion.
