SEARCY, AR (KAIT) – Police have arrested two people in connection to an armed robbery after the victims' phones tipped off officers.

According to Searcy police, Dante Kyree Hardy, 19, of Searcy and another male suspect were arrested on Wednesday night. Officers responded to a call of armed robbery at the 100 block of North Charles Street.

The victims told police they were walking back to their apartment when two males approached them. The unnamed suspect pulled out a revolver and told the victims to "empty their pockets", according to police.

Police say the victims handed over their cell phones along with other undisclosed items. The victims then told police both phones had a tracking application on them.

The phones were tracked by police and a short time later a traffic stop was made.  Officers say they could hear the alarms going off on both phones as they approached the vehicle.

Hardy was arrested for aggravated robbery. He is being held on $50,000 bond in the White County Detention Center.

Police are not releasing any information about the second suspect at this time because he is a juvenile.
