JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) – A trial date has been set for the man accused of robbing a Jonesboro bank.

According to Cherith Beck with the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Eastern District of Arkansas, Justin Cobb of Jonesboro was issued a court date for Oct. 28.

He was indicted Sept.11 by a federal grand jury on one count of bank robbery and one count of brandishing a firearm during a crime of violence.

Cobb was arrested in the robbery of the Liberty Bank on E. Matthews on the morning of April 19.

About $15,000 was taken during the robbery.

Police say Cobb entered the bank wearing a yellow bandana over his face and a dark blue hoodie, with a white hood and white stripes down the sleeve as he robbed the bank at gunpoint.

Police say he showed a short-barreled gun to the teller and left with the money.

If convicted, Cobb could face 25 years in prison for the robbery and an additional 10 years to life for the firearm charge. He could also be fined $250,000.

He is still in jail at this time.
