Body identified in White Co. fatal fire

JUDSONIA, AR (KAIT) - White County authorities have identified the person who was killed in a house fire in Judsonia nearly a week ago.

According to the sheriff's department, William Robert Leggett has been identified as the deceased. The Arkansas State Medical Examiner's Office determined Leggett died as a result of smoke and soot inhalation.

Around 5:14 a.m. on April 20, White County authorities responded to a house fire at 217 Moser Road, in Judsonia. Officers found the body of Leggett in the home and an autopsy was done soon after.

The death is considered an accident, but the White County Sheriff's Department is still investigating what caused the fire.
