JONESBORO, Ark. (AStateRedWolves.com) – The Arkansas State women's bowling team finished fourth in the final National Tenpin Coaches Association Poll of the season.
A-State received 300 points in the poll, which was 24 points behind third place Maryland-Eastern Shore. National champion Nebraska finished first with 384 points and 13 first place votes, while national runner-up Vanderbilt finished with 348 points. Central Missouri rounded out the top five with 268 points.
Arkansas State received points in the Capital One Cup for finishing in the top 10 of the poll. The Red Wolves are now tied for 39th in the women's cup standings.
A-State concluded the season with a school-record 91 wins and made its sixth straight appearance in the NCAA Tournament. The Red Wolves advanced to the national semifinals before losing to eventual champion Nebraska.
