Head Coach Carol Halford and the Williams Baptist College Lady Eagles basketball team have received a signed commitment from Christy Steele. Steele is from Big Rock, Tenn., and will graduate from Stewart County High School in May.
The sharp shooter plans to study Physical Education at Williams. She averaged 10 points per game and carried a high school grade point average of 3.7.
"I believe Christy is the perimeter shooter that will best fit our needs this season. She not only handles the ball well, she is a great passer and can really shoot the three," said Halford.
She is the daughter of Johnny and Regina Keatts.
Williams is a four-year, liberal arts college at Walnut Ridge. The Eagles compete in the American Midwest Conference of the NAIA.
