JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - Contestants went to some extreme measures to benefit the Women's Crisis Center on Saturday.

People represented several businesses in Region 8 in the "Wanna Dance" Competition at the Nettleton Performing Arts Center.

Saturday was the final competition and 1st place winners Duane Cooper and Jessica Flemon said they had the best time preparing for the competition.

"Definitely have to practice a lot when you have to dance for the Woman's Discovery Center Wanna Dance, BUT it's well worth it. Just practice practice, practice if you participate next year", Flemon says.

"It was just a great opportunity to get together and raise money for this great cause", Cooper Says

Saturday evening's competition raised more than 16,000 dollars. The event overall raised more than 142,000.

Among the participants was our very own talented Blake Guinn.
