Still no suspects in Wynne stabbing death investigation

WYNNE, AR (KAIT/AP) – Wynne police continue to investigate a stabbing that left one woman dead earlier this month.

Police still have no suspects in the case.

According to the Wynne Police Department, 33 year old Sarah Gean Collins called 911 around 9 p.m. May 1 saying she had been stabbed multiple times. She told the dispatcher she was in a field behind a home on West Poplar.

When officers arrived, they found Collins between West Poplar and H. Graham Lane.

According to the police report, Collins suffered a head wound to the right side of her face, 2 stab wounds to her left chest, one stab wound to her left upper abdomen, two stab wounds to her right lower abdomen, 2 wounds to her upper arm,  and an avulsion to her right forearm arm.

She was taken to the Crossridge Community Hospital to be flown to Memphis.

Officials say she died mid-flight to Memphis.
