Poplar Bluff PD: Shooting suspect arrested, charged

POPLAR BLUFF, MO (KAIT/KFVS) – Police in Poplar Bluff have arrested and charged the man suspected in a shooting that happened on Thursday afternoon.

According to Capt. David Sutton with PBPD, Ryan Harvey was arrested about 2 a.m. Friday on County Road 481 in Poplar Bluff.

Poplar Bluff police responded to a report of shots fired on Kinzer Street in Poplar Bluff Thursday.

Police say around 4:17 p.m. they arrived at the scene where Jeremy Vaughn, 25, had three gunshot wounds. He was taken by ambulance to the hospital. There is no word on the condition of Vaughn at this time.

Harvey was identified as the suspect during the shooting investigation, Capt. Sutton stated.

He is in the Butler County Jail on charges of first degree assault and armed criminal action.
