WBC's Clark and Wiedower capture Champions of Character Award

From Williams Baptist College

Respect, responsibility, integrity, servant leadership and sportsmanship are the five core values of the NAIA's Champions of Character campaign.  The Williams Baptist College athletic department gives an annual award to a male and female athlete who best represents those core values throughout the year.

The 2012-13 award winners are Ethan Clark of the baseball Eagles and Makenna Wiedower of the WBC volleyball team.  Athletic Director Jeff Rider presented the awards to the recipients on Tuesday afternoon.

"I have been watching Ethan and Makenna from afar for a couple of years now and they have high character and represent Williams Baptist College in best possible way," said Rider.

Clark, a senior infielder from Bono, Ark., will graduate on Saturday, May 4, with a bachelor's degree in finance.  He is the son of Tony and Amy Clark.

Wiedower is a junior setter from Denton, Texas.  She is majoring in health and physical education, and she is the daughter of Susan Marabel and Keith Wiedower.

Williams is a four-year, liberal arts college at Walnut Ridge.
