Seatbelt saves the life of two people in Butler Co.

BUTLER COUNTY, MO (KAIT) - A man and woman from Poplar Bluff are seriously injured after a crash Sunday morning.

The Missouri highway patrol says it happened on county road 521 in Butler County.

Troopers say the driver of an S-U-V ran off the right side of the road and hit a tree.

Both people were taken to a Poplar Bluff hospital for treatment.

Troopers say BOTH were wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.
