Sheriff: Man commits traffic violation, arrested for meth

BAXTER COUNTY, AR (KAIT) –A man is behind bars after a deputy found traces of Methamphetamine with himduring a traffic stop.

Shortly before 8 p.m.Saturday, Deputy William Altlazan pulled over 31-year-old, Jeremy DarrellColeman of Mountain Home for committing a traffic violation on Baxter CountyRoad 28 near Jade Lane.

Deputy Altazan then beganto search Coleman's vehicle and discovered a small amount of suspectedMethamphetamine in a seat in the vehicle.

Altazan also suspected hefound a used syringe and used glass pipe with some Meth residue. Tests thenconfirmed that it was Methamphetamine.

There were two othersriding with Coleman but they were not arrested.

Coleman was arrested andtaken to the Baxter County Detention Center where he faced felony charges onPossession of a Controlled Substance and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

He was released after heposted a $5,000 bond.

He is set to appear incourt May 9.
