TN, KY Atmos Energy customers overcharged

NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

Some Atmos Energy customers in Tennessee, Kentucky and five other states experienced surprisingly high bills this month due to a glitch.

Thousands of Atmos Energy customers were charged 10 times the correct amount.

Atmos says the error came from a vendor's mistake, but they've fixed the problem and will reimburse all customers who were affected by the mistake.

Atmos said 2,908 customers in Kentucky and Tennessee were affected by the error.

If customers have further questions, they may call 1-888-286-6700.
