A Tyler man pleaded guilty to an intoxicated manslaughter charge stemming from a November 2012 crash that killed an East Texas woman.

Eduardo Flores, 23, pleaded guilty Tuesday and opted not to go to trial on an intoxicated manslaughter charge.

On November 16, 2012 around 11 p.m., Flores drove his Chevrolet pickup across a median into oncoming traffic on Highway 271. Flores' truck collided with a minivan, killing the driver, Nancy Slagle, of Athens.

Flores was sentenced to 10 years in prison and ordered to pay $488 in court costs.
